James Morrison has branded Madonna "rude".
The 'Under The Influence' singer was stunned when the pop legend snubbed him when they met in an American recording studio.
He revealed: "I was recording in a studio in Los Angeles and Madonna came in to speak to a producer and someone asked if I wanted to meet her. I'm not her biggest fan but thought I'd say hello so I went over and said, 'Hello, I'm James, nice to meet you,' and put my hand out to shake hands. She just looked at it and said, 'And what do you do?' I told her I was a singer and she just stared at me and didn't say anything.
"It was really uncomfortable. Then she just ignored me. F**k her, though, it's just a matter of common courtesy. It doesn't matter what someone does for a living. She's just rude. There's no excuse for it."
James also revealed he was the subject of a case of mistaken identity during a recent interview. He added to Britain's Metro newspaper: "I did a radio station in Wales the other day and the interviewer was clueless. She said, 'So you had a big success with 'You're Beautiful' ' and just carried on.
"I thought she was taking the p**s so I went along with it and I sang her a bit of 'You're Beautiful' but she kept on. I had to eventually tell her I wasn't James Blunt, I was James Morrison and she just ignored me."

Dannii Minogue would love to pose nude in Playboy magazine again.
The 36-year-old beauty - who first bared all in the men's publication at the age of 23 - would consider flaunting her figure for the second time if she was offered enough money.
She told Britain's New! magazine: "I did Playboy when it was cool and I shocked myself and many others, but it was liberating at the time. I would I do it again. "If the money was right, then sure. Who knows, it might happen this year, too."
Dannii revealed she was first inspired to appear in the magazine following the breakdown of her marriage to 'Fantastic Four' actor Julian McMahon, which ended in 1995 after less than two years.
She said at the time: "I had just had a marriage break-up. Most women go to the hairdressers - I did Playboy. I chose the photographer, the location, what I did or didn't want to wear and everything else about the pictures. I found it a really liberating, empowering experience." |

Kylie Minogue has considered becoming a lesbian.
The Australian-born pop star jokingly claims she has thought about experimenting with her sexuality because there are no men in her life.
She also admits to having a crush on late, rumoured bisexual actress Tallulah Bankhead. Kylie is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "I'd go gay for her. She was a fascinating and exotic woman. There was so much to admire about her.
"She lived life to the full, maybe a little too fully. I want to release the inner Tallulah in me. God knows I can't get a man - so maybe I should cross over."
American actress Bankhead had a critically lauded but tragic career, starring in films such as 'Devil and the Deep' and 'Tarnished Lady' in the early 30s.
She died aged 66 in 1968, surrounded by controversy over her sexual affairs and drug use.
Kylie's last publicised relationship was with French actor Olivier Martinez.
The couple broke up after four years together in February 2007. Kylie has a strong gay following. In a recent poll of 3,000 gay men by website gaygolddiggers.com, she was voted second in a list of gay icons, behind soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
